The stupid Block

When I entered the college, the first thing I learned was bbs. In the college classmates often use bbs to connect each other, so we have to learn use bbs. The best bbs in Taiwan is ppt. I like to roam ppt, especially its stupid block. Stupid block is a place where people can write things which happened and was funny. It gives me many funny points. Eventually when I study hardly, I will go to ppt to roam stupid block. However, it is so funny that I often spent many time seeing the writing. Lately I forget I have final. Then the consequence is serious. The stupid block really harms me very deeply. However I still love it.

The Final of The BIology Experiment

I think the biology experiment is the most difficulty course in this semester. It has to do experiments and make a report which is about the experiment. In the medial semester we have to make a big report. In the period of making it, I often slept when it was 3:00 or 4:00. Then in the ending of the semester we have two final of the biology experiment. One of them is a written exam and another of them is to see the samples and to write the answers. Then the final occupy 40% of the grade and the most important experiment only occupies 20%. It make me feel strange.

English Speech on My Ideal career

This is my first English speech, so I am very nervous.

I think my ideal career is to be boss of secondhand books store.
There are various kinds of careers in the world, such as writer, nurse, teacher and doctor. But different people choose different jobs as their ideal careers. This is because everyone has his own interest and aspiration. Interest gives one person power to do a hard work. Then he can learn something which was not touched in common life. Aspiration makes one person enjoy the success of finishing a work. Therefore, one person’s ideal career concerns his interest or inspiration.
My interest is reading books. The range of books I read is wide. The books about history、philosophy、science、design or fiction I am all interested of. The range is so wide, so the books related are so much. When I am in library, I always feel disturbed and happy, because the choices are so much.
Some books which are needed or worthy of reading many times I often want to buy. However, I feel the original price of book is so expensive; especially I wanted to buy many books at one time. So I like the secondhand books stores, I can use a half of the original price to buy books. To buy books in the secondhand books store is like treasure-seeking, and never knowing the books I want will appear or not. It is joy to some books I never heard but have interest in it or the book is not appearance.
Because I like to read books, my ideal career is to be a boss of a secondhand book store.

English Assignment

This is my English assignment on “On Friend”.
According to the article "On Friend" was written they believe people have different view, value and attitude toward friendship in different country. Although France and Germany are neighbors but their definition of friendship is difference. I want to know what make the difference. I am interested in exploring the background between France and Germany.
. In French a man may play chess with a friend for thirty years without knowing his political opinions. French friendships are incomprehensible for me. But for Germans, whose friendships are based on mutuality of feeling, deep disagreement on any subject that matters to both is regarded as a tragedy. For Germans friendship can like family. I want to have a French friend to be confidant in some area and a German friend to be a family when I live abroad.

The First Day of Communal Construction

The first week of May I and my classmates went to Beitou. It was a work for a class called communal construction. In Saturday we take a bus to Beitou at 7:30. When we got there, it was 8:30. The first thing we did was to divide into groups, and we were divided into three groups. One group was responsible for a community. Then we began to know the history of this community’s construction. In the afternoon, we were led to circle the community and know the environment of the community. At pm 4:00 we ended the tour of the day.

Free Time

Today is Friday and I want to go home. I have to take a computer. I and my room friends washed our room because it was vary tidy. However, it’s too messy, and the room was full of garbage and buds. Therefore, today I might not get home to see my parents and eat homeland food, especially vegetarian food, and I have to eat the terrible food in Chung-Gung, but there’s another better choice—I can take bus to Taipei and enjoy the delicious things there. Taipei is certainly a place with lots of things for us to discover. For example, there are more than ten markets there in the official statistics, and almost varies in characteristic in every markets. Among all the markets, I like Shin-lin night market most. Not only because it is very big and crowded, but also because that it provides amazingly delicious food. For example, I like the enormous chicken pie. Even people from foreign countries like Japan, Korea, or America flock to Shin-lin market to enjoy it. On weekends, I have to wait in long lines. Before I get ready to enjoy, I think I should finish all my homework first. It is so sad. I think I have no time after I complete them. I think I can only go to relax next week.

Last Saturday Night

Last Saturday night I and my friends went to Hsimending. At first we decided to eat buffet, but we thought it is lavish and hurts our health, so I ate a combo. After the dinner, we went to shipping. I bought a new clothing. They bought what they wanted. In the way we saw a ice shavings store. Because I like eating adzuki bean, I ordered an adzuki bean ice shaving. After eating the ice shaving, it was the time to say goodbye.

A One-day Tour for Secondhand Book Stores

I often went to the secondhand book stores alone. It looks like pathetic. Sometimes I enjoyed alone going to the secondhand book stores, because I could at random take a book to read and to spend time on the book and do not hurry for someone. However this time I found my friend to go to the secondhand books. As we have the same habits like reading and buying books, I decided to find him to go to the secondhand books. We had a good time talking the life and the books. I think the right things have to find the right people and it will be very plenitude.

Midterm of Biology

Because I played games too often, I did not study the biology. Finally, I just can spend four hours sleeping everyday before the midterm of biology. After the midterm of biology, the first thing I wanted to do was to sleep. After this experience, I wished I could study hardly on normal in order not to like this, but I much thought I would still play games and only sleep four hours for final. This can say the leopard can't change its spots.

Back Home

Although I just leave home for a month, the atmosphere in home changes. It became dignified. My old sister had to prepare the test of teachers. My mother’s sick was more serious. I thought my duty get heaver.
The first thing I wanted to do was go to book stores. I use books to avoid this world. The time of student is lightheartedness in the life.

A Traffic Jam

April 4 is Tomb-sweeping Day, so we had 3 days on vacation. Because the chemical midterm was just over, I decided to back home. Even after two weeks, I had the biology midterm. I didn’t study it anymore. I wanted to back home on Thursday night. For that, I can’t go on duty as a volunteer on the hospital. I took the bus on 7:00 pm. It usually spends 4 hours arriving at Tainan. However when I was at Tainan, the time was 1:30am. Because too many people wanted to sweep tomb, the traffic jam happened.

April Fool's Day

April first is April Fool's Day. On the day I had a midterm of chemical. It took me a week to prepare. I thought I might have a not bad grade. However when I saw the grade, I hoped the midterm just is April Fool's Day’s kidding.

The Volunteer for Hospital (i)

Two weeks ago, I started my first probation of the volunteer for hospital. Every new volunteer for hospital has to finish two probation and then to be qualified. I am responsible for the giraffe. In the Chang Gung Children’s Hospital every story has an animal as an allegory and the animal of the sixth story is giraffe. I have to stay at a room of sixth story and play with the children cancered.
In the day only four children came to the room. One of them made me impressive. He likes to play bowling. He spent about two hours playing bowling and I had to form the bottle for him. However there are more twenty bottles. After I finished the work, I just felt very tired and wanted to sleep.
To play with children is a dead beat thing.

Ulysses

Yestoday I made an appiontment with my frined for a book of "Ulysses". He is a student of National Taiwan University. When I arrived in Taipei Station, I called him. But he had something to do. So I went to the vicinity of National Taiwan University and rambled over book stores alone.

I went to KingStone and there is an exhibition of books which are bargeins. I didn't see anyone I need, so I didn't buy. It was a bringdown. Afterward I went to two book stores I could buy secondhand books in. I bought a book about chinese poetry of introduction. Along the way to these books, I saw many people queuing up for food. I think the easiest selled thing in Taipei is food.

The final book store I went is called jasmine. I could buy secondhand books ,textbooks,CD and DVD in there. I bought three books. One is called Mutant Message Down Under and was written by Marlo Morgan,another is called the resident in Rubus Idaeus and was written by Jean Henri Fabre and the other is called History of the Theatre, Foundation Edition and was written by Oscar G. Brockett and Franklin J. Hildy.

After I ate the dinner, I went to a coffee shop and ordered a coffee. At there I finished a book of "Maya" written by Jostein Gaarder. It is a philosophic novel.
When I wanted to think what I get from this book, he called me. With spending a day waitting, I finally had "Ulysses".

The Discipline of New Volunteer for Hospital

Because I were late reaching the hostiple, I didn't see all of the doctumentary which were played by old volunteers. It is too bad. The doctumentary describes a pathetic family. The parents take care of two kids who can't be curable. But they didn't complain the god is unfair. They even help others needing help. Although I only saw the final part of doctumantary, I still learned something from the doctumantary.
In the afternoon, I learned how to take care of kids who are sick of cancer. Their immune system are much less than normal kids, so we cautiously take care of them. I hope I can help them and make them happy. And I can learn something from this work.

Self-Introduction (The First)

My chinese name is 謝仁峰 and my English and my English name my English name is Owens. I come from Tainan. There are many delicious food and many old houses in Tainan. The weather in Tainan is hotter than in the Chang Gung University.
My family are composed of my parents,an old sister and me. My sister is a student. My father is a worker. He always wants my sister to be a teacher and me to be a doctor. My mother doesn't have a job. She stays at home and washes our clothes and cooks dinners. She does all of things which are needs to do for home. I love her and I feel sad because she always stays at home alone.
My habits are watching movies, reading and listencing music. I like watching funny movies. They make me happy and I don't like to watch tragedy. For example, the movie of "Memories of Tomorrow". When it was over, I was crying and felt sad. I enjoy reading and listencing music. I like the books about science, history and religion. I also like reading literary books. I recently read a book called "love" and written by Tony Morrison.
